From fundraising campaigns for the nature conservation organisation to support measures for the hospice in Karlsruhe – our social and cultural commitment is diverse and aims to support numerous institutions. In our corporate philosophy, we have already established that we want to have an exemplary effect in our environment and are therefore also involved beyond the boundaries of the company.
From the very beginning, the aim of our donations has been to promote the entire spectrum of social commitment and thus also to recognise its value. This is why, together with our partners, we foster and support numerous civic initiatives. This commitment to social and cultural projects in our neighbourhood is a matter close to our hearts and a high priority for us.
In addition to our commitment to regional campaigns and associations, such as the Bruchsal Music and Art School, we also attach great importance to supporting organisations such as ‘Ein Herz für Kinder’ or ‘blut.eV – Bürger für Leukämie- und Tumorerkrankungen’.
Peaceful sleep is priceless!
billerbeck donations for people in need and refugees
In cooperation with charitable organisations, communities and towns in the region, we are committed to helping those for whom peaceful and restful sleep is not a matter of course with generous donations of money and bedding.
We would particularly like to thank the following for their tireless efforts in these difficult times, their support, organisation and logistics: Tafel Bruchsal (Caritas), the town of Kraichtal for refugees, Integrations-Kulturzentrum e.V. Mettmann, the Zaberfeld community refugee shelter and the Christmas in a Shoebox campaign.
Donation for Asian garden in Kraichtal
Kraichtal-Münzesheim is home to one of the largest Asian gardens in Germany, which was established by the Münzesheim therapy centre in 1985. Since then, it has provided therapeutic support for patients, who regularly expand and maintain the splendour of flowers and blossoms with great attention to detail together with master gardeners and occupational therapists.
In order to compensate for the discontinuation of funding, an illustrated book of the Asian Garden is being developed by the ‘Verlag Regionalkultur’ publishing house, which is financed by donations. billerbeck is supporting the book project with a donation so that the Asian Garden can continue to shine, the clinic’s long-standing commitment pays off and valuable support for the patients is secured.
Cooperation with Lebenshilfe Bruchsal – for more than 50 years

Cooperation with NABU Kraichtal – our commitment to nature conservation
In order to emphasise our regional commitment and, above all, our commitment to nature conservation, we attach great importance to our cooperation with NABU Kraichtal. A meadow in the immediate vicinity of the company premises was purchased by billerbeck in 2019 and handed over to a tenant who cultivates it in accordance with strict ecological regulations, compliance with which is a top priority for us. Examples include the low use of fertilisers and the fact that the land is only mowed twice a year with cutting tools, which is particularly important for the insect population and species protection. Through this commitment, we want to make a sustainable contribution to nature conservation and, in particular, to combating the problematic decline in insect populations. We are particularly concerned with the proper maintenance or even improvement of the meadow in order to ensure a greater diversity of animal and plant species.
Regular donations since June 2016 have been used in particular for the purchase of land that NABU Kraichtal manages in the interests of nature conservation. One of the plots has been set aside. Another was placed in the hands of a farmer. The farmer planted a flower mixture for insects for 5 years in order to preserve and increase the species population. Even the rather rare bee-eater bird has settled nearby.
