The abbreviation GOTS stands for “Global Organic Textile Standard” and is the most significant certified, globally valid standard for textile processing of organically produced textile fibers.
An independent quality assurance of the entire production and supply chain is conducted. The entire process, from the extraction of the raw fiber through production to packaging, is checked for sustainability criteria. The raw materials come from organic farming and are processed under high environmental technical requirements during manufacturing. Social aspects are also considered, ensuring that textile processing is socially responsible for the workers.
We are proud that all our Organic products carry the GOTS seal. This ensures that as our customer, you are purchasing a tested organically produced product such as an organic pillow or a vegan duvet.
Construction of duvets
SUPERLIGHT and LIGHT
are the classic summer duvets - airy, light, and temperature-balancing
UNO / MONO
are the duvets for the transitional period and for bedrooms with constant temperature (down duvets are called MONO)
DUO / DUO plus
designates the typical winter duvet. Two duvets connected at the sides enclose an air cushion that retains body heat and protects against cold.
TRIO
is called the extra warm winter duvet. Three duvets connected at the sides enclose an especially large air cushion, which keeps warm even at very cold temperatures.
DUETT or 4-Seasons Duvet:
a light summer duvet (LIGHT) and a warmer transitional duvet (UNO) buttoned together form a warm winter duvet.

Washing - duvets and pillows
How to Wash Duvets and Pillows?
Down duvets/pillows should be washed in the care program at 40°C to a maximum of 60°C and dried exclusively in the dryer at reduced temperature (see care instructions). We recommend a liquid down or wool detergent. Regularly remove the duvet/pillow during drying to avoid heat build-up.
Fiber duvets/pillows should be washed in the care program at up to 60°C and dried exclusively in the dryer at reduced temperature (see care instructions). We recommend a liquid fine detergent without optical brighteners. Regularly remove the duvet/pillow during drying to avoid heat build-up.
Natural duvets should only be washed in exceptional cases and only if the care instructions allow it. Natural fibers can change their properties through washing; they can also shrink or felt.
Note: Check the duvet/pillow for damage beforehand and consider the capacity of the washing machine and dryer.

Warmth Levels with Warmth Points
The billerbeck warmth points indicate how each duvet is rated in terms of its warming properties. However, you should only compare beds with the same filling material.

Down and feathers
Down: Are delicate structures made from a barely visible core and the finest, branched hairs. Due to their three-dimensional structure, they can form a large cushion of air, and they are highly elastic. Because of these properties, down feathers are incredibly light, have a high loft, and possess a large heat storage capacity - ideal for use in a duvet. Down also has excellent moisture transport properties and, due to their natural fat content, help prevent the spread of dust mites.
Feathers: Have a longer quill and less air inclusion than down. Therefore, the proportion of feathers in the duvet is kept as low as possible. In pillows, however, feathers are indispensable: Their supporting power helps relieve the head and neck, while still providing a soft lying surface.
Washing instructions for down duvets and down pillows:
With the right care, down products can also be washed well in a standard household washing machine. Learn how to wash your down product in our billerbeck YouTube videos:

New Exclusive White Goose Down
The beautifully matured, particularly large and voluminous Exclusive white goose down feathers impress with their wonderfully soft feel and, despite their lightness, provide very high heat retention - the foundation for exclusive sleeping pleasure. This product is only available in limited quantities and is therefore especially valuable.
New Classic White Goose Down
Due to weather conditions, especially temperature fluctuations, the white geese produce large, voluminous down feathers. These enclose a lot of air due to their large volume and thus insulate the warmth. Their insulation capability is high - the down provides significantly more warmth than comparatively smaller down feathers.
New Classic White Goose Down
The matured Classic goose down feathers are characterized by a soft feel and high elasticity, making them particularly durable in use. In addition, they are voluminous and enclose a lot of air. The air insulates the warmth - ensuring a cozy sleeping climate.
New Basic White Goose Down and Feathers
