A pillow that is tailored to specific needs is particularly important for dust mite allergy sufferers and anyone who tends to sweat. Lying on an unsuitable pillow can not only be uncomfortable, but - in the case of a dust mite allergy - can also lead to health problems. A blocked nose, snoring and watery and itchy eyes are typical symptoms of a dust mite allergy, which can have a lasting negative impact on the quality of sleep.
That's why our billerbeck range includes pillows for special needs such as dust mite allergies or night sweats, so that everyone can enjoy the most restful and peaceful sleep possible.
What criteria are important when choosing a pillow for special needs?
- Washability
- Cover material
- Suitable for dust mite allergy sufferers
- Easy to care for
- Temperature equalization
- Moisture-friendly
Pillows for dust mite allergy sufferers
If you are allergic to dust mites and are looking for a pillow for special needs, you should first and foremost make sure that the pillow is washable at a temperature of at least 60 °C. This is the only way to reliably kill dust mites that cause allergies. This is the only way to reliably kill the dust mites that cause allergies. However, a pillow for dust mite allergy sufferers should also have other properties. It should have excellent moisture and temperature management and be breathable. Goose down and feathers and fibers that meet these characteristics are suitable filling materials. In addition to conventional pillows, our range also includes special pillows for dust mite allergy sufferers, such as neck support pillows, neck pillows and pillows for stomach sleepers.
Pillows against sweating
Night sweats can have several causes. In most cases, the temperature in the bedroom is too high or the pillow is simply unsuitable for individual needs, which leads to restless and less restful sleep. That's why we also offer special pillows against sweating in our extensive billerbeck range, so that anyone with this particular need can enjoy a restful night's sleep. Excellent moisture management and good air circulation are essential for anti-sweat pillows so that excess moisture and heat can be optimally absorbed and dissipated. This effectively counteracts overheating at night. Suitable filling materials here are horsehair and new sheep's wool in particular, as these have particularly moisture-regulating and temperature-equalizing properties and a high self-cleaning power.
