Allergy sufferers - what do you need to look out for?
What do allergy sufferers need to pay particular attention to?
Many people suffer from a "house dust allergy".
This is an allergic reaction triggered by the excretions of house dust mites. However, with the right bedding and care, you can put a stop to the mite.
As an allergy sufferer, you also have a choice: all down duvets and some natural duvets have natural protection against mites and are therefore suitable for allergy sufferers. This is partly due to the dirt-repellent and moisture-regulating properties of the filling material and partly due to the particularly fine, impermeable cover.
Synthetic/fibre duvets are the best choice for people who want to wash their duvet frequently and at high temperatures or who are allergic to certain natural fillings. Some synthetic blankets are specially equipped for additional hygiene, e.g. with an additional silver content or a Microban finish.
Pay attention not only to the duvet, but also to your mattress. Use a mattress topper and change your sheets regularly. If necessary, you can also wash your
mattress cover depending on the filling material.
When caring for your bed, make sure that it is well ventilated and that no moisture remains. Mites don't stand a chance in a dry environment.
